Monday’s Mash-up Family Time, A Wedding Shower, and An Exciting Morning

Well friends, I have to admit, this morning’s events got a little bit in the way of my blogging time.  I went to breakfast this morning with my mother-in-law, grandmothers, and sisters, and we happened to run into two very special guests!  You should know that Mem Mom absolutely adores Joe Flacco.  She talks about him constantly and watching the Ravens play just to see him play!  Well she was absolutely starstruck when she went to the bathroom at the restaurant to find him sitting with his family and (my personal favorite) Dennis Pitta’s family!  Mem was a hoot telling him all about how much she loves him and where she used to live and all that craziness!  They were so sweet about it and let her grab a quick photo with Joe!  She’s already asked me to make her a print of it for her room!!  Oh man! What a start to a Monday morning!

Anyways, this weekend’s lesson/events:

  • Friday night was Josh and Elizabeth’s couples shower!  It was so much fun spending time celebrating their upcoming marriage!
  • Saturday was a family day and we spent it at the corn maize!
  • Lesson learned: I suck at using maps.  I definitely would have gotten us lost if I was navigating… though to my defense, the maps weren’t very specific and  I tried to start using it part way through the maize too.
  • One another maize note… I am very out of shape.  Once we found the exit we decided to sprint out… well my sprint became a lot closer to a jog by the time we got to the end.
  • Sunday we had a friend use my camera to shoot some family portraits since it was the first time in a long time that we were all together… it’s cute minus our windblown hair! Haha!!
  • Sunday night was the hunt, a fun event for students at our church! Morgan and I love serving in the high school and middle school ministries and wouldn’t miss that event!

Wife, mama, wielder of light & joy, and capturer of moments.  I thrive off of conversation and genuine connection.  In between wrangling our kiddos, and hanging my husband, you'll find me dreaming up my next idea or creative endeavour.  It's these things that culminate to give my imagery a warmth and joy to them - the greatest compliment I could receive.

THE JOURNAL

Lauren grew up spending her summers at the shore, and when she and Nick got together, she couldn't help but introduce him, too!  Their session in New Jersey was filled with gorgeous light, sweet smiles, and so much love & laughter.

Connor and Alli's wedding celebration was full of lush florals, gorgeous details, and a whole lot of joy.  Their first look was one of the most sacred moments I've witness on a wedding day... filled with so much delight and love!

One of my greatest inspirations comes from exploring and the California coast fulfills that wanderlust like nothing else.  Anytime I have rolling hills and oceanside views, I'm in heaven.

She's the ultimate hypewoman. I was pretty nervous about being photographed and Lauren made everything fun and flexible. Honestly, I can't imagine the day without her and her team. They were wonderful and hearing from Lauren was always a genuine delight.
