Wow, is it just me or did May fly by?! Between weddings, shoots, summer classes, and things at church, I’ve had tons of things going on and crowding my calendar! Some people would be overwhelmed with the busyness, but I think that I thrive on a full calendar. One thing I’ve been trying to work really hard on in May is having a servants heart. That means saying yes to things and no to others so that I can be intentional about where I’m spreading myself/my time. I’m really enjoying this new sense of balance and I am excited to keep continuing it this month.
In other news, this is what’s going on in June:
Business:
- 2 Weddings that I’m second shooting for!
- A few lifestyle shoots, too!
- I also have one of my shoots being feature later this month… I can’t wait to share more of that with you!
Personal:
- We leave for Guatemala in less than 20 days!!! I absolutely cannot wait to go with our incredible team in order to help the three people that are going to be getting a new home!
- There’s also an event at our church called Girls Weekend Out. It’s an awesome event that I’m super excited about!!
Goals + Dreams for May:
Business Goals:
- Keep consistently blogging (whenever I check this off my list, I feel like it doesn’t happen the next month) CHECK
- Continue to work on redesigning the website. If it’s not done this month it just means that it was ready to be done yet! CHECK
- Shoot my weddings well and implement the things on my workflow chart in an timely manner! CHECK
Personal Goals:
- Finish the semester off well, not with the serious case of senioritis I always tend to have at this time of year (despite my lack of senior status) CHECK
- Create a system that works for staying on top of the chores Didn’t get to this one
- Take time to spend with friends and family more CHECK
- Take more personal pictures! Didn’t get to this one either
Goals + Dreams for June:
Business Goals:
- Shoot my weddings/shoots well
- Be more consistent/creative with my series
- Keep a quick workflow
Personal Goals:
- Maintain a healthy work/school/life balance
- Take more personal photos
- Get ready/pack for Guatemala
Yes! I completely agree about having a “servants heart”! It can be so hard at times to say the N word, but it is SO worth it to your personal time with loved ones. We never want to ever push ourselves away from what we love to do, so knowing your balance is the key to being happy. :) And AH you’re going to Guatemala!!!?!?! So awesome!!! My friend has been living there for a year and is about to come back home later this month! You’re going to have a blast! Congrats on the feature too!
P.S. Love that you “check” off your May goals. Great way to look back and really cross off those accomplishments! :) Congrats!!! xoxo
