The day that was years in the making…
Yesterday, you met Brian and Maite for the first time for their coastal engagement session and today we get to relive their wedding day! These two tied the knot on Saturday, and the day couldn’t have been more beautiful.
From the beginning of the day Maite was so calm and excited for the day to unfold. As she waited for her bridesmaids to get ready, she was busy checking in on how everyone was doing. Her kind servant’s heart shown through all morning. And when she got into her wedding gown? She was stunning! One of my favorite moments of the morning though was watching the way that Maite celebrated with her parents – she gave them the sweetest gifts and her mama was like another bridesmaid!
Then it was off to the ceremony – a mere limo ride away from the house everyone got ready at. This is where I should insert the tiny detail – all morning it hadn’t rained, despite the imminent forecast the day before! Determined to have the ceremony of her dreams, Maite really wanted to hold the ceremony outdoors under the beautifully draped arch by Floral Accents and so when sudden storm clouds cycled overhead, Maite and her maids waited in the limo for the rain to clear. Meanwhile the rest of the guests made a run for the tent to avoid the rain drops!
After a quick fifteen minute wait, the ceremony was reset – chairs whipped down and dried – and everyone resumed, though this time umbrella in hand. The rest of the day was absolutely perfect. From a thoughtful ceremony, to wedding party portraits on the docks, to a sweet father-daughter dance, and some fun toasts, there wasn’t a detail out of place. That means for a lengthy blog post and way too many favorites!
Brian and Maite, thank you so much for letting me capture your beautiful coastal wedding day. It was a perfect day, from start to finish!
