When we say that we use a photojournalistic approach, what we really mean is…
we do our best to capture the moments of your wedding day while being as unobtrusive as possible. More times than not, that doesn’t mean that you’ll be left without traditional portraits, or any guidance besides “just stand there and do something,” haha! It just means that in our approach, whenever we don’t have to direct a moment to happen, we won’t!
When we say heirloom album, what we really mean is…
a beautiful and tangible, lay-flat book that will tell the story of your wedding day in chronological order. It’s a book that we’ve designed and chosen an album company that we believe is made-to-last. It’s our hope in desire in creating this that you’ll get to share it with your children, grandchildren, etc, and that it becomes an heirloom that’s passed down for generations to come!
When we say that we’re natural light photographers, what we really mean is…
that whenever the case presents itself, we want to shoot outside in the beautiful light that comes from the sun. The images that we can create from this gorgeous light are things that fuel our artist souls! However, this doesn’t meant that we’re neither willing or capable to shoot after dark or indoors! We totally are – it just doesn’t always have the same quality for portraits because we have to try and replicate it with artificial lighting!
When we say we’re obsessed with “glowy” light, what we really mean is…
that there is a window just before the sun goes down or just as it comes up where there is literally almost a “glow” that is created in images. They are warm and beautiful, and so whenever possible, photographers schedule to have couples grab just a few more portraits at sunset. I promise, it’s worth it! Don’t believe me? The image above is the perfect example of “glowy” soft light! Plus, I’ll compile some of my favorites in a future post!
When we say that you get high resolution images what we really mean is…
we are giving you access to print all of the edited images wherever you would like – not just at our own personal printer. This helps to debunk the theory that photographers give you access to every single image from the wedding day… we don’t, but only because even Beyonce has her moments, and we don’t ever want to include an image that’s unflattering, except for in very rare cases where the emotion is just too real to not share!
So there you have it, folks! Is there anything else that photographers say without explaining?

Such a great post Lauren!!
Yep! What Lauren said! Great post!
I love this, I sometimes forget we speak a different language than our clients!
Such a smart idea for a post – I’m sure 50% of readers/brides have no idea what these things mean. Love this!!!
